Required Fees

The filing fee for Form I-539 is $370. The biometrics services fee is $85, and it is required for the applicant and each co-applicant (dependent) 14 years of age or older. Therefore, the total fee is $455 if no dependent, $540 if 1 dependent, $625 if 2 dependents, $710 if 3 dependents, etc. A check or money order should be prepared, and it must be payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

“After you submit Form I-539, USCIS will notify you about when and where to go for biometrics services.” At your biometrics appointment, USCIS will collect your fingerprints, take your photo, and have you sign your name for electronic capture.
